'Two' is the mantra?
PnP campaigns, contests, and deadlines

I’ve got a few quick updates for you. And they all revolve around the same number.
Two.
Two days to back Word Dungeon
I can’t recall the last time a PnP Kickstarter campaign ran for just a week, but here we are. Most campaigns go for 2 to 4 weeks. Word Dungeon said, “Nah.”
It’s currently on a one-week campaign (Jan 30 to Feb 7), and it’s been absolutely on fire.
This is Joe Shimwell’s first Kickstarter, and he intentionally kept the campaign short. The idea is simple; learn the ropes, keep things manageable, and don’t burn out trying to stretch a campaign longer than it needs to be. A pretty solid takeaway for aspiring indie designers.
As for the game itself, Word Dungeon is a solo dungeon crawler where you fight with words. You place words across doorways, feed monsters the letters they want, and win by smart word placement instead of brute force. It’s basically dungeon crawling, but your brain is the sword.
If words and dungeon crawling are your thing,
This one’s worth a look before the final bell rings?
Two days left for the PnP Bundle contest
If you’re a game designer, here’s your “do it now” nudge.
The PnP Bundle Contest deadline is February 7, 2026.
They’re looking for print-and-play games that are party, casual, or lightweight, with little-to-no assembly.
Winning means your game doesn’t just get picked. It gets properly developed, polished, published via crowdfunding campaign, and marketed. And you walk away with a real cut of the proceeds!
A two-player contest is calling
BGG is running the 2026 Two-Player Print and Play Game Design Contest, and whether you submit a game or just play what others submit, you’re in for a good time. Make sure to vote your favorite from the lot!
I’m especially excited for this one because I recently played Quickdraw, which did really well in the last edition of this BGG contest. So my expectations are up there!
'Two' seems to be the mantra this week. So, which one are you checking out first?
