The Mountains Are Calling

My first-ever PNP trek across Colorado

A cup of tea at hand. The winter breeze drifting through the morning air. And an excitement that resonates with standing at the foot of a mountain…

That’s how my journey with 14ers began!

I didn’t expect a deck of sixty tarot-sized cards to bring back the feeling of climbing. Real climbing. The kind where you push a bit past your comfort, rest when you must, and then try again. And yet it did.

I loved how the game lets you grow. You’re not just flipping cards; you’re preparing, adjusting, and adapting at every turn. The mountains get more challenging, the weather shifts, you gather more gear and training, and you start to feel like a hiker who has earned each climb.

For over two weeks, I played the solo and 1v1 mode with friends. And each session felt different. Not because the rules changed, but because we did. The conversations, the pauses, the shared “should we try that?” before a tougher climb.

14ers is not just about reaching the top, but about the journey of getting there.  And I love that!

For someone who barely made it up a 3,000-foot mountain in real life, I’ve now reached the peaks of several 14ers in the game world. And I feel amazing!

Here’s to the climbs we chase. On the table, on the trail, and in the parts of ourselves waiting to be tested.

The Kickstarter campaign is coming to an end. If you’ve ever felt the call of a mountain, this one might be for you!
