I’ve 'officially' decided to rename Monday to Print Day.

This is now the third time I’ve somehow ended up printing PnPs on a Monday, and I’m starting to believe this is the only way to make Mondays pleasant. 😂

For today's Print Day, I got myself:

+ A roll-and-write.
+ A solo campaign.
+ A dungeon crawler.

AND... that’s not three games, but ONE!

Say hello to Forgotten Paths, the latest game from Spyros and Myrto, who were kind enough to send me the preview files so I could dive into this beast!

If those names sound familiar, there’s a good reason for that. They’re also the folks behind the amazing YouTube channel Tabletop for World, and the creators of Hidden Realms: The Mummy’s Tomb, a game I played a few months ago and ended up enjoying A LOT.

Hidden Realms had me gradually drawing out and exploring an Egyptian tomb using polyominoes, gathering resources, dealing with monsters, and preparing myself for the Mummy slowly creeping closer to ruining my day.

I played Hidden Realms around a dozen times, and I loved how much game they managed to squeeze into such a small roll-and-write package. The whole map-building side of it became quite addictive once everything clicked, while there was still enough pressure to keep me thinking about every little decision.

So when Spyros and Myrto told me their next game was launching in a few days, I couldn't resist!

Forgotten Paths takes you away from Egyptian tombs and drops you onto the Misty Isle, a place covered in a mysterious mist where people have a habit of wandering in and never coming back.

You play as a Mistwalker, one of the few people capable of entering the mist and surviving whatever is hiding inside it.

And unlike Hidden Realms, this isn’t a single-session adventure you simply reset and tackle again. Forgotten Paths is built around an entire 9-quest campaign!

There’s a storybook guiding you through the journey, and the choices you make can actually determine which quest you head into next. Each quest throws you onto a different map, where you’ll explore the surrounding area, move your character around, deal with whatever traps and creatures you uncover, and eventually confront the main threat waiting somewhere out there.

All of that happens through a dice-driven system where your rolls can be spent on things like revealing new parts of the map, moving around, or preparing yourself for whatever you’re about to run into. And the campaign side goes much further than simply chaining a bunch of maps together.

Your character sticks around between quests. You gain XP, unlock permanent talents, visit a marketplace, carry certain resources forward, and gradually build your Mistwalker as the campaign progresses.

So a lot is happening! And I'm getting pretty excited just by reading the rulebook, haha.

So I've printed the sheets. Got a nice cup of tea by my side. A few dice and tokens at my disposal. And I'm a step away from the Misty Isle, about to wander into the mist. Hoping not to get lost along the way.

It's quite cloudy outside. A storm is coming...

Can it get any better?
