A print and play contest you don't wanna miss

From the many conversations I’ve had with indie game designers, a few worries keep coming up.

Fear of launching a campaign. The lack of experience. Not knowing where to get proper guidance. And sometimes, crowdfunding just isn’t available where you live. I hear these concerns a lot, and being a game designer myself, I can relate to a few of them.

That’s exactly why this contest caught my attention.

Chris Backe and Florian Fiedler are opening up a launchpad for indie designers who are ready to take that next step. Having played their games, followed their journeys, and seen how much care they put into design and the PNP community, it’s exciting to see them turn around and make space for others.

They’re curating the first Print and Play Bundle and are looking for hidden gems that deserve to reach the table. Florian shared that this grew out of conversations with Chris, especially around playtesting and getting more eyes on promising designs. For them, it’s about visibility, momentum, and giving designers a real opportunity to step into the spotlight. Florian even hinted that this could grow into something regular, which is exciting to hear.

So who’s this for?

This is perfect for indie designers who already have a game that’s fairly complete. The deadline is close, so your game should be playable, have a proper rulebook, and feel mostly there. It doesn’t need to be flawless, though. So there's room for refinement.
